Crowd (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Crowd mobile application (“App”).

To use Crowd, an account is required. When you create an account, we collect:

Date of birth
Profile photo
This information is used only to provide core app functionality.
Location Information
Crowd offers real-time location features similar to a social map.
Location data is collected only while the app is in use
Background location tracking is not used
You can turn location sharing off or limit it to selected people
Location visibility is fully controlled by you
Location data is used only to enable in-app social and map features.
Social and Communication Data
Crowd allows social interaction, including:
Friend connections
Messages between users
Event participation and mutual friends visibility
Messages and related data are stored securely using Firebase Firestore and are not used for advertising.
Event Information
When you interact with events, we may process:
Events you create or attend
Event-related information shared within the app
This data is used only to display and manage events inside the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Create and manage user accounts
Enable social features such as friends, messaging, maps, and events
Display relevant in-app content
Maintain security and prevent abuse
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

Crowd does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

With other users, according to your privacy settings
With service providers necessary to operate the app, such as Firebase

Crowd uses the following third-party services:
Firebase Authentication and Firestore
Apple Maps for in-app map features
Google Maps when you choose to open a location externally

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service.
You may delete your account at any time. When an account is deleted, associated personal data is removed in accordance with applicable laws.

Control who can see your location
Disable location sharing at any time
Delete your account from within the app
7. Children’s Privacy
Crowd is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
8. Security
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
